I have seen various neurologists Over the last 9 years to try to help me with a complex movement disorder. I have been referred to various London hospitals and nobody could help. It was, literally ruining my life. I was referred in the end to a psychiatrist, who helped me enormously in other areas, but my movements continued without any let up. Then, I was referred locally to Dr Kahn. She knew immediately what the disorder that I was suffering with was. The first couple of medications I tried worked to an extent but didn’t agree with me. At my last appointment I mentioned something that happens which I’d not thought to say before. It hadn’t seemed important to me but it gave Dr Khan all the information she needed to help. She asked if I wanted a prescription, which I did,, and the movements have all but gone. I am more comfortable than I have been over the entire 9 years of trying and being told it was a psychosomatic movement disorder. Talking therapy did not help my movements at all, despite meting quite useful. Dr Kahn also understands my auto immune issues, as she she treats patients with a wide range of neurological problems. I really recommend Dr Khan. She has a great deal of insight of symptoms, as well as treatments. So glad I was referred to a local neurologist for my movements and didn’t stay with the London teaching hospitals. In my personal experience, the London teaching hospitals are professional, well informed safe feeling life saving places, but I didn’t find the Neurologist who was right for me there. Don’t pass up their opinions, but don’t be afraid to ask for a second opinion by Dr Kahn.

Dr Khan took the time to listen to all my symptoms, took detailed notes and sent me for an MRI being very specific about which day I should have this done and specifying a particular specialist to review the results. She was always kind, calm and patient. She diagnosed me immediately but required the MRI to confirm this diagnosis. After having weeks of symptoms which were not diagnosed at my local hospital it was a huge relief to find a doctor who knew exactly what the problem was. I found each consultation an enjoyable experience and knew that her expertise in the area of my diagnosis would mean that she was able to give me the best possible advice.

Dr Khan could not have done enough for me. She listen to what I had to say about my systems and put me through the right test to find the problem. She then gave me the right advise and medicine to help resolve the problem. I can not thank her enough.

My vote for Physician of the Year! (I hope there is such an honor!) Dr. Naheed Khan is the physician that you have always dreamed of. What makes Dr. Khan stand out among all other intelligent and supremely qualified physicians is that she listens, trusts what the patient is saying, and doesn't give up until she has solved your problem. If you ask her, she will tell you she loves a good challenge. Beyond being extremely thorough in the tests she orders, she even requested that I go in for an MRI on a certain day, so that a particularly specialized technician would read it. I wish I could have her as my own GP as well as neurologist. I love Dr. Khan and wish that other physicians could somehow take lessons from her! #bestdoctorever Sincerely, Jean Lindberg ps. I did not speak to my particular diagnosis, as I believe strongly that whatever your symptoms, Dr. Khan will figure it out, and conscientiously work out the appropriate plan for you.

After years trying to get a diagnosis for my oromandibular dystonia, Dr Khan was efficient and to the point, while remaining caring and good humoured. All of my appointments with her over the past two years have been conducted with a caring ear and absolute clarity. Not only did she diagnose my condition, she referred me to a brilliant doctor for my Botox treatments.
